Reliance Industries gains on FTSE hopes

Shares in Reliance Industries gained on media reports of hopes that it would get more weightage in the FTSE after a re-balancing done last week.

The stock was trading higher by 0.2 per cent at Rs 845.70, despite a fall in the benchmark indices.

Additional weightage could prompt fresh inflows into the stock, which has been under performing the markets over the last few years.
