Reliance Infra Q3 net profit at Rs 728 cr; stock down

Reliance Infra reported 78% rise in net profit at Rs 728 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2012. However, the results came lower than expected by analysts.

The company's total operating income stood at Rs 5,296 crore against Rs 6,160 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.

The company reported net profit of Rs 728 crore against Rs 408 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year, an increase of 78%.

The company's Earnings Per Share (EPS) rose to Rs 28 against Rs 16 in the corresponding quarter of previous year, an increase of 78%.

Shares of the company was seen trading at Rs 528, lower by 1.93% on BSE at 2.55 pm IST. It touched an intra-day low of Rs 524.
