KEC International gains 8% on orders worth Rs 1,511 cr
Shares of the KEC International surged more than 8% on Wednesday after bagging order worth Rs 1,511 crore in its Transmission, Power Systems, and Cable business from India, Oman, Nepal and America.

The shares of the company was seen trading at Rs 71.15, higher by 5.49% on BSE at 2.40 pm IST. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 74.45.

The company has received two orders from Power Grid Corp of India. These include Rs 286 crore order to supply and erect 800 KV HVDC between Champa Cooling Station and Kurukshetra Transmission Line and Rs 386 crore order for supply and erection of 800 KV HVDC between Champa Cooling Station and Kurukshetra Transmission Line in Chattisgarh.

Separately, it has also received Rs 43 crore worth orders to supply power and telecom cables.

Apart from these orders, the company has also bagged orders for Rs 796 crore from Oman, Nepal, Brazil, Mexico and the US.
