Silver futures slip to Rs 62,266 per kg

Silver futures slipped on the Multi Commodity Exchange on Thursday tracking weak overseas trend and subdued physical demand.

Sentiment of gold, silver affected as investors preferred to trim their positions following outcome of the Federal Reserve meet which suggested easing measures in the US.

MCX silver futures for March 2013 contract, was trading at Rs 62,266 per kg, lower by 1.53%or Rs 958.

The rate touched an intraday high of Rs 63236 and an intraday low of Rs 62055 per kgs.

Silver futures for May 2013 contract, was seen trading lower by 1.40% at Rs 63,698 per kg on MCX at 02.35 pm IST.

Mumbai spot silver of 99.9% purity was seen at Rs 62,640 per kg.
