Kingfisher Airlines staff resumes work; stock extends gains

Shares of the company was locked in 5% upper circuit at Rs 11.40 for second day.
Kingfisher said that it is pleased to announce that all of its employees have agreed to resume work and report for duty immediately. "All employees are now eagerly looking forward to working together in order to re-starting operations very soon," the company stated.
However, this will not help the airline to fly until suspension of operation is cancelled. The airline has plans to meet DGCA with the new revival plan.
The company had announced lockout from October 1, after employees decided to go for strike due to non-payment of salary.
As of now, the airline management has agreed to pay the March salary within 24 hours, the April salary by October 31 and may dues before Diwali in mid-November.
