Indian crude basket moves up to US$ 112.87/BBL

The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has increased to US$ 112.87/barrel (bbl) on 05.9.2012. The price was higher than US$ 112.14/bbl on 5.09.2012, the last trading day.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price rise to Rs 6317.33 per bbl on 06.09.2012 from Rs 6268.63 per bbl on 05.09.2012. This was due to price increase in dollar terms and rupee depreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 05.09.2012 at Rs 55.97/US$ against Rs 55.90/US$ on 05.09.2012.
