SEBI to translate investor website into 13 Indian languages
Market regulator wants its investor website to be translated into 13 Indian languages to spread awareness among investors.

SEBI wants its website to be translated and updated from English into Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

SEBI is regulator of stock markets, mutual funds, brokerage firms, merchant bankers, foreign institutional investors and a host of other capital market segments.

SEBI's objective of translating SEBI investor website into 13 Indian languages
1. To create awareness among the masses of India in cities, towns, villages
2. To cater the message to the people in regional languages
3. To demystify various concepts of securities market in simple language
4. To create awareness on various concepts of securities market to people of India
