HDFC Q4 net up 16% at Rs 1,326 crore

Housing Development Finance Corp Ltd (HDFC), today posted its Q4 net profit for the quarter ending March 31, 2012. The net profit in this quarter rose 16% to Rs 1,326.14 crore against Rs 1,141.95 crore in the same corresponding period of last year.

The company has proposed a dividend of Rs 11 per share. Last year, it has declared dividend of Rs 9 per share.

The company loan book stood at Rs1,40,875 crore as against Rs1,17,127 crore in the same period last year increase by 20%.

Accordingly, total borrowing of the corporation too went up 21% y-o-y to Rs 1.39 lakh crore.

During the period the company changed its accounting policy for cross currency interest rates swaps. As a result the liability as on March 31, 2012 is higher by Rs 24.52 crores.

Shares of the company stood on Monday closed at Rs 663 higher 0.57% on BSE.
