HDFC announces Q2 results: Net Profit up by 20%

HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corp. Ltd), India's top mortgage lender posted 20% rise in its net profits for the quarter ended on September 30.

HDFC's profit rose to Rs 970.70 crore as against Rs 807.54 crore corresponding quarter previous year.

Total Income of the company grew to Rs 4,169 crore this quarter against Rs 2,970 crore corresponding quarter previous year.

It's loan book advanced by 20% to Rs 1,26,992 crore during the quarter against Rs 1,06,287 crore a corresponding quarter previous year.
