Market closes on flat note; Nifty 6k

Mumbai, Dec 28: The Nifty maintained the same level and showed no significant change. The Nifty closed at 6000 level. The trading was slow due to the less participation of traders.

The market were supported by technology, telecom, healthcare, metal and select power companies' shares along with HDFC Bank, HDFC, ITC, ACC, DLF and HDFC.

At 4:30 pm, the Sensex was trading at 20025.42 down 3.51 points and the Nifty was at 5996.00 down 2.10 points.

Tata Motors, Tata Steel, SBI, Reliance Comm were found most active on trading.

Top gainers were Suzlon Energy up 2.66 percent, Ranbaxy Labs up 2.63 percent, HDFC Bank up 1.92 percent and Tata Power up 1.81 percent.

Top losers Tata Motors down 2.47 percent, Axis Bank down 2.10 percent, ICICI Bank down 1.22 percent and Ambuja Cements down 0.90 percent.

Trading on green; Nifty 6k above
The benchmark Nifty remained unchanged. It was hovering around the 6000 level. The trading seem slow and participation of traders were less due to Christmas Holiday. It was trading on a positive note.

The market were supported by technology, telecom, healthcare, metal and select power companies' shares along with HDFC Bank, HDFC, ITC, ACC, DLF and HDFC.

At 2:45 pm, the Sensex was trading at 20068.64 up 39.71 points and the Nifty was at 60002.65 up 4.55 points.

Nifty struggling around 6k level
The Nifty was trading between 5987-6010. Major heavyweights like ONGC, Tata Motors, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, SBI, L&T, HUL and BHEL were on sellers' radar.

The market were supported by technology, telecom, healthcare, metal and select power companies' shares along with HDFC Bank, HDFC, ITC, ACC, DLF and HDFC.

At 12:45 pm, the Sensex was trading at 20017.26 down 11.67 points and the Nifty was at 5991.75 down 6.35 points

Market opens with +ve note; Nifty looming at 6k level
The benchmark Nifty started on a positive note. Nifty was looming around 6000 level. Among frontliners, Cipla, ITC, Tata Steel, HDFC, Wipro, Ambuja Cements and ACC were seeing buying interest.

At 10:30 am, the Sensex was trading at 20,012.14 down 16.79 points and the Nifty was at 5996.20 down 1.90 points.

Tata Motors, Tata Steel, SBI, Reliance Comm were found most active on trading.

Top gainers were Wipro up 2.06 percent, Ranbaxy Labs up 1.36 percent, Sesa Goa up 1.16 percent and Reliance Comm up 0.91 percent.

Top losers Tata Motors down 1.02 percent, Axis Bank down 0.88 percent, ICICI Bank down 0.76 percent and Cairn India down 0.66 percent.
