-Enter your credentials to log in.
-Allow permission to application to access your location (based on your preference).
-Click on 'Locate Nearby Store'
-Once you find the address of your nearest Jan Aushadhi Kendra, you can visit the centre to purchase prescribed medicines.
About Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana
Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana aims to give people access to quality generic medicines at low cost. The Government of India launched the scheme in November 2008 through the Department of Pharmaceuticals. Janaushadhi Kendras are set up as dedicated outlets to sell these generic medicines.
As on 11.06.2025, more than 16000 Janaushadhi Kendras are operating across India. These outlets work to improve medicine availability in different regions. The product basket under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana currently includes 2047 drugs. It also covers 300 surgical items, supporting a wide range of basic health needs.
The implementation of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana is handled by a registered society. This body is the Pharma & Medical Bureau of India. It functions under the Societies Registration Act. Pharma & Medical Bureau of India was earlier known as Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India, or BPPI.

JanAushadhi Sugam is a government mobile application introduced in August 2019 for medicine buyers. The app supports users who prefer generic medicines. It brings information on Jan Aushadhi outlets and drugs into one simple digital platform.
Through JanAushadhi Sugam, users can locate the nearest Jan Aushadhi Kendra using Google Maps. The app lets people search for Jan Aushadhi generic medicines, compare their prices with branded versions by MRP, and check expected overall savings.
