Jeevan Pramaan Patra: How To Submit Life Certificate Using Doorstep Banking Service?

Jeevan Pramaan Patra: It is important for senior citizen retired government employees to submit their life certificates to continue to avail the pension benefits. The government has launched the 'Jeevan Pramaan', an Aadhaar-based Digital Life Certificate for pensioners, on 10 November 2014. While the service allows people to facilitate the ease of submitting their Life Certificate, here is another easier way to complete the process.

The PSB Alliance Doorstep Banking Services platform facilitates this for Public Sector Bank customers, while India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) also offers similar services.

Jeevan Pramaan Patra: How To Submit LC Using Doorstep Banking Services?

Senior citizens over 80 can submit their Digital Life Certificates (DLC) between 1 October and 30 November 2025. Those aged between 60 and 80 have a submission window from 1 November to 30 November 2025. This schedule ensures timely pension disbursement without any hassle.

What Are the Charges for Doorstep Banking?

For IPPB customers, generating a DLC incurs a minimum fee of Rs 70, including GST and CESS. There are no additional doorstep charges for both IPPB and non-IPPB customers when obtaining a DLC. In contrast, PSB Alliance Channel offers free doorstep banking services for senior citizens aged 60 and above.

To avail of the DLC service, individuals can contact their nearest post office or request a visit from a postman or Grameen Dak Sevak. The Department of Posts has made it convenient by allowing scheduling through the Post Info app or their website.

Important Documents For DLC

Pensioners are required to carry their Aadhaar number and an existing mobile number to generate a DLC. Their Aadhaar should be registered with the pension disbursing agency, such as a bank or post office. Additionally, they should have details like the type of pension, sanctioning authority, disbursing agency, PPO number, and account number ready.

Steps to Request Doorstep Banking from PSB

To request doorstep banking through PSB, users must first register and log in to the DSB application on their mobile devices. They should enter their mobile number and proceed with authentication using a PIN or OTP if registered.

If the service is available at the provided PIN code location, users can select their bank from a list and provide permission to access bank account details if not already saved in the system. Once validated, masked account numbers will appear on-screen for selection.
