EPFO Alert: How To Download Annexure K From EPFO Portal? Check Step-By-Step Guide

EPFO Alert: For all the Employees Provident Fund Organistion (EPFO) members who have recently changed their job or joined a new company, it is important to check Annexure K to ensure that their previous PF accumulations and pension services are transferred to the new EPF account.

Annexure K is an important EPFO document which serves as a transfer certificate. By downloading this EPFO document, employees can ensure that the PF accumulations and pension services are transferred to the new EPF account.

Earlier, Annexure K document was not easily accessible to employees, and they could download it or check it only by requesting for it. In a major update, EPFO now, allows employees to download the Annexure K form directly from EPFO website.

What is Annexure K?

"Annexure K is a EPF document which mentions the member details, his PF accumulations with interest, service history, Date of joining, and Date of exit and employment details including past and present MID. This document is required by the Field Office/Trust to effect a transfer in," read a social media post by EPFO on X.

How To Download Annexure K?

-Visit the EPFO portal
-Login with your credentials, including UAN number and password.
-Now check the online services segment, in the upper part of your screen.
-Click the 'Online Service' part.
-Now click on 'Track Claim Status'
-Select and Download Annexure K. You can take out a print out for future reference.

How Is Annexure K Created?

Employees who switch jobs can now easily access their EPF transfer details. Previously, when employees changed jobs, their EPF accounts were transferred online using Form 13. The old PF office would then generate a transfer certificate known as Annexure K and send it to the new PF office. This process has been streamlined for better accessibility.

Transfer claims are now automatically initiated once the first month's contribution is received in the new job, provided certain validations are met. This means that employees no longer need to file a separate Form 13 for processing these claims, simplifying the procedure significantly.

Once Form 13 is successfully processed, the Transferor Office generates Annexure K. This document is then sent to the Transferee Office, where the employee's current account is managed. It ensures that both PF accumulations and Pension Service are credited accurately.

Previously, Annexure K was only shared between PF offices and made available to members upon request. With this new system, members have more control over their EPF documentation, making it easier for them to manage their accounts during job transitions.
