How To Change Mobile Number Via Aadhaar App
People can update their mobile number and other details on their Aadhaar card via the mobile application. The facility is yet to go live on the mobile app. The feature may be introduced in the coming weeks.
"Coming Soon! Update Mobile number in Aadhaar from the comfort of your home -- through OTP & Face Authentication. No more standing in the queue at the Aadhaar Centre," stated UIDAI in a social media post on Friday, November 28.
How To Download the Aadhaar App?

-Enter Aadhaar number on the application once it is installed.
-Authenticate by sending OTP from your registered mobile number.
-Continue with face authentication. Make sure to blink your eyes, while face authentication.
-After successful login, people can access their QR code to get Aadhaar details.
-Additionally, they can download the Aadhaar card PDF online from the application.
Aadhaar App, Smarter Verification, Faster Log In
Few months ago, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) had rolled out a new portal, Aadhaar Good Governance Portal to ease the process of Aadhaar authentication request approvals.
The new portal would help the government in making the whole Aadhaar process easier and convenient. It will also ease the process to make it more inclusive. The portal would expedite the submission and approval of authentication requests making the process more efficient and accessible.
With the implementation of this facility, Aadhaar card users would be able to share their Aadhaar card. Apart from formulating a safer method for Aadhaar details transmission, UIDAI is also working with various players like security agencies, hotels, for covering entities that are not mandated to use Aadhaar. Additionally, attempts are underway to collaborate with CBSE and other boards for biometric and other data updation of children.
What is Aadhaar?
Aadhaar is a 12-digit individual identification number which also serves as a proof of identity and proof of address for Indian residents. The document contains important credentials like name, address, gender, and age of the card holders. Aadhaar card holders are also required to provide their biometric details (including Iris, fingerprint, etc). Any individual, irrespective of age and gender, who is a resident in India and satisfies the verification process laid down by the UIDAI can enrol for Aadhaar.
